Dermot Joyce, Group CEO

Dermot is the Chief Executive of Liberata and is a main Board member of the company. He is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the business, its financial success and the quality of services provided to customers.

With more than 20 years experience, Dermot is an accomplished leader with deep expertise of successfully growing businesses in the business processing outsourcing (“BPO”) and government services sectors. He joined Liberata on 14 September 2009, from Serco Group’s Civil Government business where he was Chief Operating Officer. Previously he was Executive Director of the Commercial Services Division of Capita Group, which included both private and public sector BPO operations.

Dermot holds an undergraduate degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick and an MBA from University College Dublin. He also has an MSc. in International Accounting & Finance from London School of Economics.

Vijay Chandiramani, Regional Director

Vijay is part of the Management team at Liberata, working as a Regional Director. Vijay manages a portfolio of Liberata’s major clients in the Local Government sector, with responsibility for business growth, Profit & Loss and customer satisfaction. He joined Liberata in 2007 from Xansa (now part of Steria), where he developed strategic partnerships with major central government organisations. With 20 years of experience in engineering, consultancy and the outsourcing sector, Vijay has grown businesses in new markets and held senior operational and business development roles with global organisations such as Siemens, Mastek and Datamatics.

Jason Fahy, Regional Director

Jason is part of Liberata’s Management Team. As Regional Director, he is responsible for the financial success, growth and client satisfaction across a portfolio of Liberata’s clients and key partners. He also leads the Liberata Business Development team, who are responsible for all new name sales across the markets within which Liberata operates.

Jason joined Liberata in September 2003 after holding various senior positions within local government and the outsourcing market, in a career spanning over twenty years. His noted successes include several service turnarounds and service transformation projects, as well as leading on new name sales wins.

Rowan Gilpin- Regional Director

Rowan is head of Liberata’s Central Government and private sector business, and is responsible for the Profit & Loss within this sector.

Rowan is a business leader with 20 years of directorship experience, working in the HR & Payroll BPO services sector, IT services, Property Development and Construction industries and banking services.

Rowan said: “In the last three years since I joined Liberata we have always faced challenges like any other business, but with the support of a great Management Team, we have moved the business forward. Additionally, we have seen dramatic improvement in client satisfaction rates and within the Liberata teams. I look forward to increasing the Liberata market share in the sector over the coming years.”

Janine Tjassens- Regional Director

Janine is a Regional Director for the local government sector within Liberata and part of the Management Team. She is responsible for successfully managing a portfolio of clients within the Greater London region, covering financial performance, service quality, client satisfaction and business development.

Janine holds an Executive Master in Business Administration and has over 15 years of experience in managing and developing client engagements in multiple industries, of which ten years has been spent in the outsourcing industry. Janine joined Liberata in 2006 from Perot Systems, where she was Client and Operations Manager for eight years and responsible for one of the regional operations. Previously she held various senior roles in the IT and service industry, where she was responsible for quality programmes, transformation and change programmes.

Lloyd Clark, Director of Operations

Lloyd is the Director of Operations for Liberata and is responsible for non-IT operational delivery across the company’s service lines.

Lloyd joined Liberata in 2006 and was previously responsible for Performance Improvement, Programme Management and Procurement. He assumed his current position after running the company’s Revenues and Benefits Shared Service operations. Before joining Liberata, he was the Director of Product Management and Operations for two international trade Application Service Providers and Head of Strategy for S.W.I.F.T sc in Brussels.

John Tyreman, Director of Information Technology

John joined Liberata in August 2006, and following a year managing client relationships in Pendle, Barrow and Redcar, was appointed Director of IT in September 2007. He is responsible for strategic development and operational management of ICT services, serving both Liberata’s clients and internal business function within the organisation. John holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and is a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) member of the British Computer Society (BCS).

John has worked within the IT industry for 30 years in a wide range of roles including Operational Management, Account Management and consultancy work for both public and private sector organisations. Following a period of time as Head of Electronic Government for Highland Council, John became Regional Director for Fujitsu Services in the North East for three years, before joining Liberata.

Tim Collins, General Counsel

Tim is Liberata’s General Counsel and is responsible for all legal affairs within the business, ranging from advice on commercial negotiations with clients and suppliers to disputes and advice on Corporate Governance and risk management.

Tim is a solicitor with over 20 years experience gained in private practice, the public sector and in-house. Prior to joining Liberata in 2005, he had been involved with public sector outsourcing for over 10 years, having worked for the Treasury Solicitor, advising on early prison PFI projects, with Simmons & Simmons, specialising in infrastructure, rail, PFI/PPP and outsourcing projects.
