North Somerset Council extends contract with Liberata
11th Dec 2008
Liberata has agreed a contract extension with North Somerset Council (NSC) to provide a Revenues and Benefits service for the council for a further two years. NSC and Liberata have enjoyed a successful partnership for over 15 years, with the relationship growing from strength to strength. NSC was voted No1 in England for NNDR collections for 2006/07 and 2007/08, and has previously been named as winners of the prestigious IRRV award.
Gerwyn Baker, Service Delivery Manager at Liberata’s Weston-super-Mare Business Centre said: “We are pleased to extend our contract with North Somerset. Over the past year, Liberata has demonstrated a true partnership with NSC, along with continuous performance improvements. Liberata remains an integral part of the council’s drive to achieve its objectives and provide an excellent level of customer service for the citizens of North Somerset.”
In 2008, after more then 15 years of providing a single service line, Liberata’s relationship with the council has widened to include new service areas. For example, Liberata was awarded a fixed price project entitled ‘Income Strategy’, which involved expanding income collection channels for NSC to improve the service it offers to its citizens and contribute to the council’s efficiency targets. Since then, the team has devised propositions to add value to NSC, resulting in significant benefits to the council.
