Liberata celebrate double success in central government

March 31, 2010

Liberata has extended their contract with The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) until 2012. The deal will see Liberata continue to provide Finance and Accounting and ICT services to one of the largest governmental departments until December 2012, whilst providing payroll services until June 2012.

Liberata has been in partnership with the MoJ since 1998, with operations running from its Millbank, Croydon and Newport Business Centres. Liberata has successfully delivered a number of large strategic change projects for the client, including the implementation of the Government Banking Services and the Go Live of a pan-MoJ Travel and Expenses solution.

Liberata has also enjoyed another success within central government, after signing a 3-year contract with the Department for Culture Media Sport (DCMS) to deliver managed Finance and Accounting services to the department and other associated bodies. The contract, which includes the option of a two year extension, will help the DCMS meet the challenges of delivering quality services at a value for money price.

Dermot Joyce, Liberata Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am pleased to announce the signing of these two major contracts with a predicted order value of over £50m. The winning of the DCMS contract and the MOJ extension is a reflection of the innovation and high service levels delivered to our customers. Our longstanding partnership with the MoJ and new contract with the DCMS is an example to other governmental departments as to the benefits and efficiencies gained by these leading organisations through partnering with Liberata.”

Rowan Gilpin, Liberata Head of Central Government, said: “I am delighted that our clients have shown continued faith in the Liberata brand and service delivery capability. The central government sector is a core market for Liberata, and we continue to invest in new service lines and innovative processes to extend our reach into that market.”
