Liberata appoints Melanie Whitfield as HR Director

Melanie Whitfield has been appointed HR Director for Liberata. Melanie has a wealth of experience of working in organisations and aligning the people agenda to help deliver performance improvement and growth.

 

Melanie joins Liberata from the Cabinet Office, where she was Deputy Director of Workforce Strategy. She has previously held a number of senior managerial roles, including People Director for Prudential and Head of HR Operations for Electronic Data Systems. Melanie also spent a number of years working for the British Airports Authority (BAA), where she was Head of HR Operations & ER for both Gatwick and Heathrow Airports.

 

Dermot Joyce, Liberata CEO, said: “I am delighted to welcome Melanie to the team. She brings a wealth of experience which will be of great benefit to Liberata, and I look forward to working with her to accelerate growth and step up our efforts in employee engagement.”

 

Melanie has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, and a master's degree in Strategic Human Resource Development. She is currently studying for a further qualification in Coaching and Mentoring and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD). She began her career in retail where she spent more than 12 years in managerial roles working for J.Sainsbury, Waitrose and Boots the Chemist.

My aim will be to support both individuals and teams wellbeing and performance across the organisation and help realise the many opportunities of working in Liberata".
