March 03, 2010

A senior politician has described the current refurbishment of a homeless hostel in Chorley, undertaken by Liberata on behalf of Chorley Borough Council, as “one of the best he had ever seen.”

Grant Shapps, who is the Shadow Housing Minister, was visiting the hostel which provides temporary accommodation and support for the homeless. All of the flats are being redecorated, fitted with new furniture and now have individual fitted kitchens, and there is also a newly refurbished family room.

Councillor Alan Cullens said: “The refurbishments are excellent and I know Grant was particularly impressed with the excellent commitment of the staff.”

Liberata Regional Director, Jason Fahy, said “Liberata are delighted that the Shadow Minister and Councillor Cullen have experienced at first hand the very valuable work being undertaken by Liberata in partnership with Chorley Borough Council.  Liberata’s Property Services Team goes from strength to strength as we continue to deliver excellent value across our growing Property Services client base.”
