Liberata wins 2008 International Safety Award

April 24, 2009

Liberata has been awarded the prestigious 2008 International Safety Award from the British Safety Council (BSC), one of the world’s leading training and advisory bodies.

Liberata’s Barrow and London Bridge Business Centre’s were announced as winners by the BSC following a strict assessment by an independent adjudicating panel.

The International Safety Awards scheme was set up by the BSC to recognise and reward organisations that demonstrate continuous improvement in their health and safety performance, taking into account both local and corporate commitment to this important area of the business.

Liberata Chief Executive, Richard Webster said: ‘This is tremendous news and a real testament to the high standards of Health & Safety that is evident across the business. This achievement is demonstrated by very low accident rates, safety policies, and training and commitment to health and safety at the highest level.’

This is the third consecutive year that Liberata have won the award, with the Romford Business Centre announced as winners of the 2006 award, followed by Liberata’s Newport Business Centre for 2007.

Liberata Health & Safety Director, Sue Cranstoun, said: ‘The International Safety Award provides external recognition of the high standards of health and safety within Liberata and I am delighted that Liberata has succeeded again this year.’
