Barrow and South Lakeland Councils choose Liberata to provide new Telephony system
February 26, 2009
Barrow Borough Council and neighbouring local authority South Lakeland District Council have named Liberata as their partner for the joint procurement of a new IP Telephony system.
Liberata will source, install and provide ongoing support to the two authorities. This contract will bring a variety of savings to both local authorities, including telephone calls between the two councils becoming free of charge.
Liberata’s Regional Director, Jason Fahy, said: “Liberata is delighted to be extending the range of services it offers to Barrow Borough Council and to be given the opportunity to bring such value to South Lakeland District Council. This joint procurement will see both councils benefiting from the latest telephony technology and reduced costs.”
