Liberata becomes a Member of the Corporate Responsibility Group
October 18, 2007
Liberata is pleased to announce that it is now a full member of the Corporate Responsibility Group (CRG). This falls in line with Liberata’s policy of adopting a social, ethical and environmentally responsible approach to business practice.
Liberata has demonstrated it’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) though initiatives such as the ‘Investment in the Community’ programme. This has most recently been seen in Sheffield where we are sponsoring the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team next season.
The new deal, which will reach into over 50 Sheffield schools, provides youngsters with opportunities to meet the players, participate in a hosted skating session at Ice Sheffield and watch the Steelers in action. They will also receive a lifestyle pack to encourage healthy living.
The National Student Programme has been a major success. Liberata has forged relationships with educational institutions across the nation, promoting employability in young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. This was recognised on July 10 when Liberata won the Innovation in Work Related Learning and Business Links Award.
Liberata is also a Corporate Patron of the Princes Trust, with whom it works to develop regional volunteering programmes amongst its employee base, to help young people overcome obstacles in their lives and recognise their potential.
Liberata is currently working on various initiatives which aims to reduce our Carbon Footprint.
Many of CRG’s 99 members are also UK leaders in the field of Corporate Responsibility and have a strong track record in developing CR initiatives.
