Liberata Brings More Jobs to Barrow

February 16, 2007

Liberata, one of the UK’s leading business process outsourcing providers, will formally launch the newest addition to the Lake House Shared Service Centre on 16 February 2007. Liberata’s ‘Service Desk’ relocated to Barrow in December, bringing 20 highly skilled IT support jobs to the region. The Service Desk team provides a shared IT helpdesk to 21 Liberata clients from the public and private sectors, including Barrow Council, and Liberata’s internal teams.

Liberata has committed to create over 250 jobs in Barrow-in-Furness through its Shared Services Centre, opened in March 2006 following the award of an £800,000 grant by the North West Development Agency. Since opening the Liberata Lake House Shared Services Centre, Liberata has created 114 new jobs and is on target to create an additional 50 before the end of April. Liberata is also laying the foundations for a ‘Liberata Training Academy’ to be based at Lake House.
